Jacksonville owner regrets firing Coughlin

Wayne Weaver, the original owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars, who sold the franchise to Illinois businessman Shahid Khan and is turning over the reins this week, said recently that he regrets firing Tom Coughlin back in 2002.

“If hindsight you could change, I’ll be honest with you: I probably would have never changed Coughlin,” said Weaver, in an interview with Jaguars.com.
